I don't seem to be able to stop wearing winter clothes! How about you? Are you wearing flip flops or being sensible (I swear I've seen people wearing flip flops in 12ºC)? I have refused to wear this coat anymore until at least October (I was gonna say November but then I realized I was being too possitive)! Will summer ever arrive? I am forgetting how it feels not to be cold...
Btw, I am planning to paint that boring mirror frame in the deep burgundy Brinjal from Farrow & Ball-just saying so you still believe in my skills as a designer :P
I will let you know how it turns out! ha, it could be very messy...

scarf and bag- stolen from my mum (with her permission, of course)

Wedding Day

These are photographs I took at a friends' wedding day near Reading. James and I had a lovely time and the wedding was beautiful, but it was a bit chilly! This was back in April so the weather wasn't really spring-like yet (this winter didn't seem to end...).
The wedding theme was tea (and tea pots and tea cups were to be found everywhere) - we even got to play mixing different tea leaves to create our bespoke tea bag!
I was wearing a dress from Anthropologie and ballet flats from Pretty Ballerinas - a bit of a shame that I don't have a picture of the full outfit as it was too cold outside to take my coat off and I forgot to take one while inside the barn!

New photo album

I got this lovely album from James' mum who was finding no use for it. I think it's probably one of the prettiest ones I have seen and it's perfect to fit the photographs I took of the English countryside and Paris with my Olympus Trip 35.
She was also very sweet and got me those two little cacti! They are likely to be the only plants I won't kill (I am terribly bad at taking care of indoor plants)!

Sketches

I find drawing is the best thing I can do whenever I'm feeling a bit down, lost in my thoughts or stressed. It calms me down and makes my mind focus on something else, in the lines, details, light and shadows of the image I'm replicating. It releases all the negative thoughts, for me it's a way of experiencing freedom.

Hope you had a lovely Easter, mine felt like mini-holidays! :)

Hanging up!

Six months after moving into this flat the first picture is up! Ha, laziness...and the fact that we didn't have the right tools. James was meant to borrow them from work so we could hang some frames and the mirror up (it has been against the wall since we first bought it two years ago!!). It only took him several months to do so but the wait is almost over (we just need a few more hooks!).
The flat is transformed - amazing how much hanging some things up can change the feel of a room. Now it seems bigger :)
